A detail from photo Solastagia, part of Anthropcene Noir, curated by @nilssen_eva opening May @contemporaryarttasmania .
In this body of work I explore the term Solastagia, a new word coined by philosopher Glenn Albrecht that describes the psychological state of distress induced by environmental change. An emotional or physical reaction to anything from natural disasters, open cut mining or colonisation. I have used humour through photography and documented performance as an attempt to heal and communicate the ever growing environmental impact that humans are emotionally reacting to. The audacity of us!
this is how we party 🐖🥬❤️
